Petition Launched for Pearsall Road and Williams Close Play Areas
Kingswood MP, Chris Skidmore has started a petition to try and save two play areas in Longwell Green. The land at Williams Close and Pearsall Road had been leased to the Council since 1965 and currently is the location for two play areas. However, the land owners have decided to end these leases causing the closure and partial closures of these play areas.

Local MP for Kingswood Chris Skidmore, has been having a unique meeting with unpaid carers at the House of Commons to better understand the challenges they face. The “speed-networking” event was designed to increase the understanding of the lives of carers - The MP had just minutes to discuss the differing experiences of a number of unpaid carers and to ask them about what their lives are truly like.
