Chris launches the Barrs Court Residents Association

06 January 2010

Your prospective MP Chris Skidmore together with local residents and local councillors Nick Barrett, Tony
Olpin and Christine Price have set up the Barrs Court Residents Association (BCRA) to help make Barrs
Court a better place to live.

In setting up the Association, Chris Skidmore said: ‘The Barrs Court Residents Association seeks to give our local community a stronger voice, to fight against overdevelopment at ASDA, and to tackle problems of anti-social behaviour and traffic problems. I believe that if we pull together, we can have a
greater say on what goes on in the local community’.

Recently, the Association had its first meeting, and it was agreed that we should seek to get local residents views on key issues affecting the community. This survey aims to get residents opinions on the main issues in Barrs Court. Please take a few minutes to fill out this survey and post back free of charge. Download the survey HERE.

The next meeting of the Barrs Court Residents Association will be taking place on Wednesday 13 January, 7pm, Longwell Green Community Centre, Shellards Road, where the results of this survey will be discussed. In the meantime, please do contact the Residents Association at barrscourtresidents@gmail.com.
