Chris highlights crime reduction in Cadbury Heath
31st March 2010
New figures obtained by Chris Skidmore have revealed that crime in Cadbury Heath has fallen by 25% in the past year- since South Gloucestershire council installed new CCTV cameras in the area.
Chris has been running a high profile campaign to save the Lamb Pub nearby which has generated enormous support in the local community.
"When I have been out and about in Cadbury Heath, a number of residents commented to me the difference they felt the council's new CCTV system had made in the local fight against crime and anti-social behaviour and so I asked the council if the crime figures backed this up.
The 25 per cent fall in overall crime that the figures show is really impressive and testament to the hard work being put in by the community, the police and the council to make the Cadbury Heath neighbourhood a safer place to live and work.".
