Chris raises money for local charity, Aid Ukraine

Chris recently held a fundraiser in North Common Village Hall which helped raise money for a local charity, Aid Ukraine, which is run by local Warmley residents, Tony and Winifred Fry.
Chris said:
"I recently held an event at North Common Village Hall that helped fundraise for the local Kingswood-based charity Aid Ukraine. The charity is independently run by local Warmley residents Tony and Winifred Fry, who have dedicated so much of their time and effort to supplying humanitarian aid to poor and vulnerable children in Ukraine. Amongst other things, their work includes sending gift boxes over for Christmas, and fundraising to ensure that poor children growing up in orphanages in towns and cities are able to have a summer holiday in the countryside. As a result of their efforts over the many years, thousands of children have been able to enjoy Christmas, or get the chance to experience life outside the orphanage walls. It was a pleasure to hand over to Tony the money raised that will contribute to improving the lives of these young children."
