South Gloucestershire Schools receive cash boost

South Gloucestershire secondary schools are set to be given a real terms per pupil cash boost this year after the Secretary of State for Education, Justine Greening MP, announced the Governments intentions to adopt the new national fairer funding formula from 2018-19.

Redfield Edge Safety Measures

A working party of parents from Redfield Edge Primary School in Oldland Common organised a consultation evening following an increase of concern regarding the safety of pupils using the busy main road outside of the school. The team of parents alongside Mrs Robinson the Deputy Head teacher invited Chris Skidmore MP, to come along and answer questions and join the discussion about what can be done to improve the current situation.

M4 Link Campaign

Local MP Chris Skidmore, who has been spearheading the bid for an M4 Link to the Avon Ring Road since 2010, has launched a new petition for the delivery of an M4 Link as part of the Gateway2Growth campaign; this will create a new Junction 18a.
