As your local MP, along with Cllrs Sam and Elizabeth Bromiley we have long campaigned for improvements along the Ring Road and recently welcomed a major £5.9 million investment into the Wraxall Road roundabout. The project is already underway and will help reduce congestion and improve road safety at the junctions with Tower Road and Wraxall Road.
The works are expected to be completed in autumn 2021 and will benefit all residents and motorists in the local area currently experiencing delays and queues during busy hours, and will help improve traffic flows and safety for all road users.
However, we are aware that residents have recently endured an increase in noise from modified and speeding cars on the Ring Road since the start of the pandemic. We have been working with South Gloucestershire and the local Police to raise these issues and we are pleased to see some offenders caught thanks to the reporting by residents.
We believe more still needs to be done and have now started a petition calling for the original fence along the A4174 to be replaced with soundproofing material.
Add you name to our petition by completing the form on this page or email chris.skidmore.mp@parliament.uk with your full name and address, stating you would like to sign the petition.
